Bot Trainer
Adam is Atchr’s AI chatbot. The Bot Trainer is where you teach Adam what to say when
visitors ask questions on your website.
You open it from your entity in the dashboard, then add topics, sample questions, and the replies Adam
should give.
If you do not see the Train Bot option, check that your subscription includes chatbot access. See Get Subscription.
Turn Adam on for your widget
Before visitors can talk to Adam, enable the chatbot on your entity:
- Open Settings, then open your Entities list.
- Select the entity that powers your website widget.
- In Widget Properties, set Chatbot to Active.
When Adam is active, visitors can receive automatic replies when your team is offline (or according to how
you configured the widget).
You can also choose whether Adam waits for the visitor to speak first, or starts the conversation.
Open the Bot Trainer
From the entity details screen, click the purple Train Bot button (plug icon) in the entity controls.
The Bot Trainer opens with two lists:
- Training Data — topics you have already saved for Adam’s replies.
- Training Suggestions — draft topics Atchr prepared from your website for you to review.
Use the search box to find a topic quickly. On smaller screens, tap a section title to expand or collapse it.
Toolbar actions
- Update Adam — applies your latest training so Adam uses the new answers on your widget.
-
Upload — import training files that were exported from Atchr (files ending in
.atchr). - Add Data — create a new topic from scratch.
