Slack alerts

Atchr can post a short message to a Slack channel when a conversation starts, a lead is captured, or Adam hands over to your team. This uses Slack Incoming Webhooks only — Atchr does not read Slack messages and does not install a Slack app into your workspace for you.

Plan: Slack alerts require an active Professional or Enterprise subscription. Open the entity, then the Apps & channels card.

Step 1: Create a Slack Incoming Webhook

  1. In Slack, open Incoming Webhooks for your workspace.
  2. Create or pick a Slack app, then enable Incoming Webhooks.
  3. Add a new webhook to the channel that should receive Atchr alerts.
  4. Copy the URL. It looks like https://hooks.slack.com/services/…

Step 2: Paste it into Atchr

  1. Open the entity in the dashboard.
  2. Under Apps & channels → Slack, paste the Incoming Webhook URL.
  3. Tick the events you want. Default recommendations: conversation started, bot handover, lead captured. Avoid Visitor message unless you want a Slack ping for every chat line.
  4. Enable Slack alerts and click Save Slack.
  5. Click Test Slack. You should see a test post in the channel.

Leave the URL field blank on later saves to keep the stored webhook. Atchr only accepts URLs on hooks.slack.com.

What this is not

  • Not a Slack inbox. Visitors still chat on your website (or WhatsApp Cloud inbox).
  • Not Microsoft Teams. For Teams, use a Zapier Catch Hook from the same events.
