Show a WhatsApp control on your live chat widget so a visitor can continue the conversation
in WhatsApp. This opens wa.me with your business number and an optional prefilled message.
This is click-to-chat, not an inbox.
Messages the visitor sends on WhatsApp will not appear in Atchr unless you also connect
WhatsApp Cloud inbox.
Step 1: Save your business number
- Open the entity → Apps & channels → WhatsApp.
- Enter the number with country code, digits only (example
263771234567). Do not include+or spaces. - Optionally set a prefill message (up to 300 characters).
- Tick Show WhatsApp in the widget and click Save WhatsApp.
Step 2: Check the live widget
Open your website with the Atchr widget. On the live chat toolbar you should see a WhatsApp control. It is hidden while the feature is off.
Requirements
- Professional or Enterprise subscription.
- A WhatsApp-reachable business number.
- The widget embed on your site (see Embedding Code).
